ABOUT
Whitney Michel is a first generation Haitian American born in Brooklyn. She accounts film and her exposure to art from her oil painter father as her strongest influences. With a love for storytelling, this New York Times & Vogue featured creative has over a decade working on impactful creative for clients that include Ford, Rolling Stone, Vogue, Walgreens, ESPN, Cadillac and more. Michel currently stands as a Consulting Chief Creative Officer after three years leading UWG INC, the longest running multi-cultural advertising agency in the US. Michel is also the founder of Michel Men, a mens cashmere brand started during her senior year at the prestigious Parsons, School of Design. The brand has received celebratory coverage from The New York Times, WWD, Vogue, GQ, British GQ, Esquire, New York Magazine, Complex & more.
Michel currently lives upstate in her black Chalet home with her artist & sculptor fiance, Dan Shaughnessy IV of DSIV STUDIOS. This home stands as the first project under her brand, “Blackbird Theory”, an interior design brand focused on modern and connected living.
